Leadership Experience: I began working with AAVE in the summer of 2005. My first trip was a 6 week road trip surfing and kayaking around Baja, Mexico. It was an amazing experience full of whales, dolphins, and even sea lions. Since then I have lead in Hawaii and this past summer a trip for younger participants in Colorado. For many of my campers, AAVE is their first experience living outdoors away from home. I am always so impressed with their immediate abilities to adapt and make each trip a complete success for everyone involved!
What AAVE means to me?: New friendships and life-long memories. Three weeks of adventuring, living, cooking and laughing together creates an unforgetable experience.

Favorite Quote: "Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being." -Goethe
The Perfect Day: A full day of fresh air and new friends, dinner at sunset and hearing voices singing over the sounds of the guitar around the campfire.
Dream Job: Teaching yoga from a homebase in Hawaii and traveling yearly to guide trips in the Himalayas.
Dream Vacation: Spending months relaxing in the mountains of Northern India, eating yummy curries, and connecting with the beautiful people there.
What I do when I'm not at AAVE: You can usually find me riding my bike to work, practicing yoga, and learning to Tele-Ski!
