Leadership Experience: I have worked in the adventure travel industry for more than ten years and been a full-time Director as well as summer Trip Leader with AAVE since 2003. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and have worked in the wilderness with people of all ages but leading AAVE teenagers is far and away the greatest job I have ever had. Over the past 6 years I have personally led and programmed the following trips: Surf Camp, Ecuador & Galapagos, Peru & Machu Picchu, Wild Coast Discovery, Boot Saddle Paddle, Ultimate Hawaii and Rock'N'Roll.
What AAVE means to me: The last trip I led is always my favorite! I make great connections every summer with our incredible community and spend the rest of the year working to create these programs and fill them with the very best participants. My year is like one big AAVE trip - I work hard so I can fully enjoy the freedom, responsibility, adventure and laughter that our programs are all about.
Favorite Quote: "There is no secret ingredient." - Kung Fu Panda
The Perfect Day: Tomorrow.
Dream Job: I want Danny Boyle to direct the movie of my first novel after it tops a couple best-seller lists.
Dream Vacation: Following the fictional footsteps of Indiana Jones in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.
What I do when I'm not at AAVE: I like to stay busy and be creative. I ride bikes, cruise on my longboard and do "outdoorsy" things in the mountains. I also like to eat good veggie food. I'm writing a novel called
THE HOLLOW and it's amazing. I also like to write, play and record songs and you can check them out here ...
