This is Ian Saunders. Rock’n'Rapid is probably my favorite AAVE trip - and I have led a lot of them! I hope you all will stop by and say hello or ask a question on this blog. I’ll keep checking in so just let me know if you have a question or anything.

I was also wondering about how long will the hikes be so I know what kind of shoes and socks n such to get.

Hi Dan! You need a back pack that can hold about 3 to 4 days worth of your stuff. Any outdoor store can help you pick a good one. As for shoes, hiking shoes are best, above your ankle. Merrill and Vasque are examples of good brands.

So I just discovered this really awesome blog thing, too bad it’s a few months too late, but better late than never. You might not even read this anymore- just in case though. This summer was really amazing and a great deal of it is credited to you. I think you taught all of us that there’s a different way to be and its not at all bad. I really appreciate what you showed us of how life is and how people are, just talking to you is a life altering expierence and I hope you know what an amazing person you are. Have fun doing whatever you’re off to do next!!!
