Boot Saddle Paddle #1 - AMAZING BEGINNING!

What an awesome trip it has already been. It’s was crazy how fast we’ve become one big family - in the first hour we were all singing songs in the van and playing games. It feels like we have all known each other for years.
Okay, so for a little re-cap on the good stuff… a couple days ago we got out of the Ashley National Forest and what a great way to start the trip. We were in the back country for 3 days where we were camped right next to a beautiful lake surrounded by pine trees and snow capped mountains. Now, if there is any opportunity to have fun we are on it like a cat to a mouse. For instance, after hiking a good 6 miles up to a lake one would think to stop, take a break, maybe rest a little…nope not here, we were swimming and splashing in the lake with in a minute of arriving to it.
New experiences have been coming at us left and right, such as a snowball fight from a the random snow mound we found in the forest or sitting on a grassy knoll and watching a moose cross a field. It’s really amazing how life can be when you are always living in the moment. The great thing is every one on this trip is playing a huge part to making this the best summer of our lives.
What a trip it’s already been and we’ve just begun,
