CSI#1 - Hola de Monteverde!

Hola de Costa Rica!
Since the last blog we´ve already done so much! We visited another
volcano, called Arenal Volcano, and got to see some lava flow after a
small eruption (don´t worry, they are very normal and happen every 45
minutes or so … and we were at a healthy distance). It was awesome!
We also visited some hot springs with water slides and a bunch of
different pools with different temperatures where we could lay back
and relax after our day of rafting.
Now we’re in Monteverde for our second week of classes and homestays,
and things are going great! We’re up in the highlands, so the weather
is a bit chillier, but it’s nice and of course beautiful, as we are in
the middle of Costa Rica’s famous cloud forest. Everyone LOVES their
new families. They were extremely welcoming and excited to have us in
their homes from the moment we met them. And there are tons of little
tico kids running around most of our homestays, which makes it all the
more fun!
Tomorrow: canopy tour! Everyone is super excited, and already
anticipating it to be one of the highlights of the entire trip! We’ll
keep you posted on how it goes, and hopefully tell you some more fun
stories very soon!
