Every single day is a new adventure!
Traveling through the Pyrenees to Sort, Spain, was a beautiful and fun ride. The rain that welcomed us at our new campsite did not dampen our spirits. We even had a “jam-off” under the big kitchen tent with our bowls and spoons!
We remained in Sort for three days, during which time we went canyoneering and whitewater rafting. They were both physically tiring, but a lot of fun! Our favorite rapid during the rafting was called “Chuck Norris Tears”. On the last day in Sort, we did a service project on the lake, where we kayaked around and picked up rubbish. That night, we had a BBQ at the campsite with some friendly neighbors, we enjoyed chicken, Spanish sausage, and veggies galore!
For the past couple days, we’ve been in Barcelona. On the way here, we stopped in a little town called Terrassa, and witnessed the Tour de France going through! Our timing was perfect! Lance was probably in there but the peloton was massive, powerful and fast! As you might imagine the crowd was large, packed and filled with energy. Kelly was pushed gently by a cyclist as they went by! The rush of cyclists lasted about a minute. You can feel them whizzing past you! We arrived there just as the bikers were coming up the road. What an exhilarating experience!
In Barcelona, we visited Gaud¡ïs famous Sagrada Familia, the 1992 Olympic site, the Barcelona beach, and the renowned eclectic street La Rambla. Today, we are heading back to the Pyrenees, the French ones this time!
Adios & Bon Jour
