CRC1B - Updates!!

Posted by Chris in : Costa Rica Clasica , trackback

Wow, I can“t believe that our week at spanish school, CPI, has already come and gone! We had a wonderful week in Flamingo doing many activities in the morning and attending Spanish classes in the afternoon. We also all become close with our host families as we have now been with them for six nights! Tomorrow night will be our final night and we are having a party with all the host families, a total of 66 people will be coming together for dinner tomorrow! It should be quite the local rural experience.

This week in the mornings we have been surfing, collecting shells on the beach, playing soccer, visiting an artisan village, making our own pottery, snorkeling, and sailing! What a life :) Every student in our group is improving their Spanish and having a blast. I love them all! I will leave some daily details to our leaders of the day, as they continue to update you on our adventures in Costa Rica!

July 7: Mo wrote: Today we went surfing, had school, and watched the sunset. The surfing was great, my favorite thing so far, but ended fast because of school. The sunset was very pretty and was just what everyone needed for a good night of sleep.

July 8: Rachel wrote: Today was a beach day at La Conchal. We played in the waves and relaxed. After the beach, we got lunch and went to CPI for classes and games. We ended the day with the group meeting and with a surprise–ice cream! Finally, we went back to our tica families for dinner and good conversation using our Spanish!

July 9: Andrew wrote: Today we visited an artisan village and the pottery we made was so cool, the skill and talent that it takes to make it is so impressive! We also played soccer in a nearby field, it was so much fun! Everyone had a blast!

July 10: Hannah wrote: Today we woke up early to go snorkeling! We went on a huge boat with a bunch of food and drinks, and we laid on the front of the boat and drank smoothies and relaxed. We went snorkeling, swam around in the water and by the beach. Some of us even got to see sea turtles, sting rays, and eels!

Stay tuned for more updates from our leaders of the day!

Besos,
The AAVE CRC1B Team from the beaches of Flamingo Costa Rica!
