Alaska 1A - The Crozants!
Posted by Chris in : Ultimate Alaska , trackback
Hello Parents!
Welcome to the Official blog of the “Crozants—Where’s the Cream Fillin?” Today is the 13th wonderful day of the trip. Since the last blog, we have sea kayaked, went on an interpretative glacier hike, worked in a soup kitchen and been ice climbing! Everyday we wake up to an entirely new adventure filled with joy and excitement.
While kayaking, we saw a sea otter and a lot of bald eagles. At the interpretative hike, we saw our first glacier - luckily it was the first of many. The past 3 days we have been hiking and climbing on The Matanuska Glacier. Both the scenery and our group are incredible. During the past weeks we have formed a tight-knit family centered on laughs, trust and love.
Ian is our leader and is the person that we would take on a deserted island because he knows everything. Amy is our awesome “foreign” leader from Holland. Nic’s greatest accomplishment was having the honor to go near a bear’s droppings. Katie was the only person to get to the top of the hardest ice-climbing climb called “the impossible wall”. Aaron adored backpacking, he is the master of finding shorts cuts. Ben B still does not know how to peel a banana, but eats alot and is a great chef. Claudia has the best technique ice-climbing and is the best doctor at the game “Mafia”. Ben S is our rapper during long drives. Becca has been eating many “fiber one bars” and leads the group on many of our adventures. Patty Cakes is loving every moment of the trip and is growing out his Alaska beard. Kathrine loves the camping atmosphere and family bonds. Gaspard - or G - is improving his English, while teaching us necessary French terms. Taylor is always within 5 ft of the Purell with a huge smile on her face.
So as you can se we are all unique individuals that love each other. Thank YOU for sending us on this amazing journey.
Peace and Love
The Crozants aka Alaska 1A
