Bold West#3- Road Trip Adventure!

Hello from Las Vegas!
We hope this first blog post finds you all as well as we are (if that
is possible)! We can’t believe that five days have flown by so quickly
and that our group has already begun to bond so well!
We began our adventures in Zion National Park where we camped out and
started out our second day before 6 am to go on an early morning hike
up to the beautiful Angel’s Landing — AMAZING! We spent the
afternoon cooling off from the intense desert heat by tubing down the
Virgin River which was a highlight for everyone! We spent the rest of
our time in Zion hiking through the park and always stopping to cool
off and swim at several waterholes. While at one of the waterholes we
had a huge mud fight and we are willing to bet you have never seen
your kids so messy! They even decided to bombard us with mud making
sure that we were quite literally up to our ears in mud! IT WAS A BLAST!
Of course we can’t forget to mention the gourmet food that your kids
have been preparing! If they pretend they can’t cook when they get
home you will know they are pulling your leg, because we have been so
impressed by the wonderful meals that have been prepared out under the
stars!
After packing up camp in Zion we headed towards Las Vegas to explore a
different side of the city that never sleeps by taking them to Red
Rock Canon for a picnic lunch and an introduction to rock climbing!
They were all troopers on the hike and even though it was hot, their
spirits remained high and the fun factor never died. Before leaving
the park they all even put on a dance show for many of the cars that
were passing through the park!
After the hiking adventure we finally checked into the Circus Circus
hotel and then walked down the strip for a late night pizza dinner at
the Mirage which was well deserved! Clearly, things are going
wonderfully, and there has not been a dull moment! Even our time in
the van is filled with tons of music, dance parties, and non-stop
laughter. We are so happy to be spending the summer with your kids and
will continue to keep you updated! Take care!
