Update from Italy Greece #2!

Hello Abbott and families back home,
For the last few days we had set up camp at Alfios River. We spent each night under the stars and spent our free time at a beautiful private waterfall located right next to the camp. Each day at Alfios was full of activity, excitement and teamwork. The first day we white water rafted and swam in the Alfios River. On the second day we went river trekking. Our guide, Trifonas, led us through 7 miles of beautiful river terrain, finishing our journey at a beautiful hidden waterfall. On our last day in Alfios we hiked to numerous ancient monasteries, which are still occupied, and enjoyed delicious candies given to us by the monks. At the end of our hike we zip lined across the Alfios River. It was an extremely adrenaline filled experience!
Today we went to Olympia, the site of the first Olympic games! There, with our private tour guide, we explored the ruins and even got to run on the original track!!! After Olympia we headed to the beautiful island of Lefkada, an island complex that lies in the Ionian Sea. Lefkada is the fourth largest island of the Ionian Sea. and we are now at a campsite that is less than 100 feet away from AMAZING Greek ocean.
The next week is all about water sports.
